Over the years we have provided our services to New Zealand's major producers of concrete and cement, including Holcim, Firth, Humes and Stresscrete.
Our involvement in the industry has varied from repairs and maintenance to the installation of large scale Batching Plants. We have manufactured and repaired moulds, dismantled refurbished and relocated plant including silos hoppers and bins.Installation of new equipment also features in our work. JP Marshall Engineering installed a new 100 cubic metres per hour Batching Plant for Holcim Concrete Products Ltd at their Horotiu site on the outskirts of Hamilton.
The plant and its associated mechanical handling equipment, aggregates hopper and silos were imported in "knock down" form and required on site assembly and installation.
Although the bulk of the project involved assembly, we manufactured the walkways, handrails and guards to ensure the plant satisfied Occupational Safety and Health requirements. The lack of assembly and installation drawings from the Italian manufacturer provided plenty of challenges for our team on site. It was like completing a giant jigsaw puzzle.
