JP Marshall recently completed manufacture of an oil exploration rig capable of drilling to 4000 metres, for NRG Drilling.

The modular design allows the rig to be containerised into 12 truckloads, facilitating ease of transport on New Zealand roads and quick deployment in the field.

JP Marshall Engineering is also retained by a leading national and international supplier to manufacture a range of mobile rigs for geo-technical drilling, capable of drilling up to 1500 metres. A number of different models are produced including steel and rubber track mounted versions plus a light version designed to be heli-portable.

This unit can be broken down into compact sub-assemblies for flying into back country locations.
